Wedding photography - Wing, Nr Aylesbury
Wing is one of those gorgeous villages nestled in the Aylesbury Vale. If you’re looking for it on the map you will find it between Aylesbury and Leighton Buzzard. It’s also home to Ascott which is part of the National Trust.
With such a beautiful setting in store I jumped at the opportunity to photograph a wedding there.
The day though belonged to the couple getting married. They had sprung the day on their parents and only given them a few weeks notice to get everything arranged. The venue for the ceremony was chosen as the All Saints church in Wing with the reception being held at the Broad Leys Pub close by in Aylesbury.
The day was so relaxed and timing was not an issue (I could tell when the bride was only just leaving the house when the service was due to start). It wasn’t a problem though and everything all went well on the day, that is apart from trying to dress a baby (check out the photo below to see how many men it takes to dress a baby).
After the service it was a short drive to the reception at the Broad Leys Pub. Everything here was as relaxed as the rest of the day. Even the speeches weren’t formal. It was simply a case that if you wanted to do a speech you just stood up and and gave one.
After such a laid back day it didn’t stop for me though. It was time to get back and start working through the photos. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did taking and editing them (and for those who spot it, don’t panic the bottle was empty).
