Headshot photography near Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire
When people contact me for a headshot photography session one of the first things I explain is that the session will take place either at their office, home or other location of their choice. With a lot of people working from home I am often faced with comments of “my house is a mess”, “the house is a tip” or in this case “the house is a bit of a building site at the moment”.
Most of the time these are the code words for “sorry, I’ve been really busy just lately and haven’t got around to doing the house work”.
To me though that’s fine, we all have times like that and lets face it I’m not there to photograph your house. I’m there to photograph you. For headshot photography there is often a backdrop and you could be anywhere really. You don’t see anything behind the scenes.
On this occasion though my thoughts of the housework not being done were proven wrong.
I arrived to find that the house was a building site and the client was living in a caravan while the work was being done. With not a lot of room in the caravan we decided to make the most of the buildings working in another part of the house and used what would soon be the lounge.
With the backdrop in place though we really could have been anywhere.
Just goes to show, no matter what you think your house is like we can still take some great headshots.
